Meal Plan June 14-20

Oh my my my!  What a weekend.  This meal plan is brought to you very late due to: 1.) My bestest friends spending the night on Friday; and 2.) My Maddie girl got bit by another dog.  😦  Poor thing. I planned and executed the Girls night BBQ almost to perfection.  Well, almost.  More details to come on that tomorrow.  Then Saturday morning I thought it would be a good idea to water the flowers before the sun got to hot.  The neighbor leaned over the fence to talk to me, Maddie ran over to say hi and her paw slipped through the fence.  Their dog, Haley, was M-A-D.  Haley got Maddie pretty good.  Maddie had to be put under while the vet did stitches.  She’ll have stitches for 10-14 days.  My girl is gimpy right now. 

 Question: Do you have pets?  What are their names? 

 Anyway, here is this week’s meal plan. I am behind on the calories.  I may or may not have that finished by this evening…Monday : 

 Breakfast:   Breakfast:   1 serv. oatmeal with 1 oz nuts, ½ c. berries, ½ c. milk and coffee with Stevia and milk 

 Snack:  ½ c. yogurt and 1 serv. fruit 

 Lunch:  2 slices of whole wheat bread w/ 1 tbsp PB & 1tbsp. natural jam, 2 serv. fresh veggies 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit, coffee with 1 serv. Silk and Stevia 

 Dinner:  Enchiladas (2 corn tortillas w/ 2 oz extra lean beef, 1 oz cheese, ¼ c. Enchilada sauce,  1 tbsp sour cream) and salad (1 c. Romaine, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 tbsp salsa, ¼ c. Diced tomatoes) 


 Breakfast:   2 Oatmeal and Raisin Waffles see recipe (or frozen whole wheat waffles) w/ peanut butter and 1 serv. fruit, and 1 c. milk 

 Snack:  ½ c. yogurt and 1 serv. fruit 

 Lunch:  Left over Enchiladas and salad 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit, coffee with 1 serv. Silk and Stevia 

 Dinner:  Creamy Salmon Lemon Pasta (see recipe) with ½ c. Cooked broccoli 


 Breakfast:   ½ c. yogurt, 2 serv. fruit, ½ c. granola, 1 piece of toast with 1 tbsp jam 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit 

 Lunch:  Left over Creamy Salmon Pasta and Broccoli 

 Snack:  1 serv. cheese, 1 serv. veggies, coffee and 1 serv. Silk 

 Dinner:  Walnut Pear Salad (1 c. romaine, 1 c spinach, ½ pear diced, ¼ c. cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp diced red onions, 1 oz walnuts, 1 tbsp honey, ½ tbsp olive oil, ½ tbsp balsamic vineger) and 1 slice of whole wheat bread 


 Breakfast:   2 eggs , 1 oz cheese, tomato and spinach sandwich,  1 serv. fruit and c. milk 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit, coffee with 1 serv. Silk and Stevia 

 Lunch:  Left Over Walnut Pear Salad and 1 splice of whole wheat bread 

 Snack:  ½ c. yogurt and 1 serv. fruit 

 Dinner:  BBQ Chicken (1/2 breast), corn on the cob w/ 1 tbsp Smart Balance Butter, and ½ c. fresh green beans. 


 Breakfast:   1 serv. oatmeal with 1 oz nuts, ½ c. berries, ½ c. milk and coffee with Stevia and milk 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit, coffee with 1 serv. Silk and Stevia 

 Lunch:  BBQ Chicken Salad (1/2 chicken breast, 1 c. romaine, 1 c. spinach, , 2 tbsp. diced red onions, diced green pepper, 1 tbsp ranch, ½ tbsp bbq sauce) w/ two corn tortillas. 

 Snack:  ½ c. yogurt and 1 serv. fruit 

 Dinner: Cold Deli Sandwich (2 slices whole wheat bread,  3 oz turkey breast, 1 oz cheddar cheese, 4 slices tomatoes, 1 pickle, 1 slice of onion) with ½ c. green pepper slices and homemade corn chips (2 corn tortillas) and ¼ c. salsa. 

 **Due to SparkPeople’s limit on how many days you can enter and to the Father’s Day Dinner, calories and fat content are guestimated for the following meals… 

 Saturday : 

 Breakfast: ½ c. yogurt, 2 serv. fruit, ½ c. granola, 1 piece of toast with 1 tbsp jam 

 Lunch: Deli Sandwich leftovers w/ homemade tortilla chips and ½ c. salsa. 

 Snack:  ½ c. yogurt and 1 serv. fruit 

 Dinner:  Homemade Margareta Pizza (see recipe) and green beans 


 Breakfast: Toast w/ PB & jelly, 1 c. milk and 1 serv. fruit. 

 Snack:  Caramel Latte w/ non fat milk 

 Lunch:  Fish Sandwich (1 serv. tilapia or basa, 1 tbsp tartar sauce, tomatoes and lettuce), 1 c. romaine and 1 tbsp dressing 

 Snack:  1 serv. fruit 

 Dinner:  Father’s Day Dinner (Suggested meal: Spaghetti and turkey-meatballs with roasted veggies)

 ‘Cause life isn’t perfect, but with a little planning and preparation, you can almost come close!

    oh no! your pup looks so sad with the cast on 😦 i don’t have any animals but would really like a dog. it is my motivation to save up enough money to stop being a renter!

    I don’t have a dog but my family does, so I consider it my dog. His name is Wilson (from the show House) and he is a Pomeranian.

    Awwww, poor baby!!! Hope she feels like herself again soon!!

    I have a long haired weenie dog named Woodstock 🙂 We called him that because we wanted either him (he’s golden and reddish brown spotted) or his brother who looked like Snoopy. Pretty obvious why we named him that 🙂
